Drakes Sports Park Detention Basin Remediation
Cleaning and improvements to three (3) sediment basins. Work included dewatering, clearing, excavating, lime amending and hauling sediment; to onsite stockpile, fine grading. Investigation and improvements to the structures included concrete catch basins, culverts and end sections, and placement of rip rap. Final restoration included seeding with floral native seed mixes and erosion control matting.

Stoney Creek Restoration
Restoration of 2,600 LF of the Stony Creek. Restoration included excavation, hauling and stockpiling of 4,000 CY of sediment from the new pilot channel and floodplain, harvesting of trees for the installation of 230 LF of toe wood bank treatment, 139 in-stream habitat structures, and 2 log riffles. Work also included establishing access along Stony Creek with swamp mats to perform the work, clearing bush on the neighbor’s property for hauling and staging of sediment excavated. Final restoration of all disturbed areas was completed with native seed and erosion control blanket.
